Everest Base Camp

To conclude my graduate collection, I decided to wear it to Mount Everest Base Camp. Initial research included the history of Everest, evolution and the development of technical sportswear. Taking this further, I spent a month in Nepal trekking through the Himalayas, covering four base camps along the way (Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Mt Everest and Lhotse). Whilst doing this I wanted to reach each base camp whilst wearing my garments, also testing the functionality and purpose of my work. Below shows a selection of photographs taken from Everest Base Camp and the surrounding Khumbo Glacier, reaching an altitude of 5,364m/17,598ft.
